“Seeds of Hope for embattled Syria”

Peliti and the Ecological Movement of Drama invite you on Thursday, March 17 2016 at the event entitled “Seeds of Hope for embattled Syria.” At 7: 30 pm, at the Tobacco Institute of Greece, in Drama.

Peliti (www.peliti.gr) , since the summer of 2014, has been participating in a network of organizations- from Europe and the Middle East- under the name “15th Garden” which supports the creation of vegetable gardens for the Syrians. At the event “Seeds of Hope for embattled Syria ” the French group ” Graines et Cinema” (Seeds and Cinema), will present its actions as part of that network.

The group “Graines et Cinema” is the French part of the “15th Garden” network. They have traveled in southern France for six months, organizing movie nights on food sovereignty, picking up seeds and awakening the world concerning the situation in Syria.

This year, the 16th Pan-Hellenic Festival for the exchange for traditional seed varieties, which is to be held on Saturday, May 7 2016 in the land of Peliti, is about: Seeds-Refugees-Immigrants-Solidarity. The event “Seeds of Hope for embattled Syria” is a first event within the broadened circle of this matter.
