Date/dates: 03/06/2016
Time: 5:00 - 7:30
Join Qachuu Aloom “Madre Tierra” and the Seed Library of Los Angeles for an incredible experience sowing Amaranth with our farming friends from Guatemala. This is bound to be a memorable night.
Amaranth is very likely to play a significant role in your diet as our climate changes. A plant from the mountains, it can take extremes in heat and cold and still produce a viable crop. Leaves are edible as the plant grows and the seeds are harvested for food as well. We have delicious light dinner planned and it will be a fun and educational event with some of the farmers from Guatemala’s Qachuu Aloom.
