Date/dates: 20/08/2016 - 21/08/2016
Time: All Day
The course will expose you to the rich biodiversity beneath our feet, the soil web, which is the basis of soil fertility and our food security. You will also have practical lessons on how to make your own compost and recycle waste.
Resource person: Dr. Rawat, Mr. Negi, Mr. Anand
Justification: August seems just the perfect month to look at the soil fauna as the monsoon approaches end. Soil which has been soaked through the month of June and July starts to slowly dry and the soil flora and fauna is abundant. Participants can be given a very rich practical approach on soil conservation and nutrition in this season. Besides a great composting hands on session can be facilitated.
