The human rights division of the High Court in Accra was today scheduled to hear the case submitted by lead plaintiffs Food Sovereignty Ghana (FSG). The case which sought to place an injunction on the commercialization and release of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) rice and cowpeas in Ghana had to be adjourned till October 12th 2015 as the Judge, Kofi Essel Mensah was indisposed.
Meanwhile, the judge sitting on the case, Justice Kofi Essel Mensah, has been suspended as a result of the scandals rocking the judiciary.
