Date/dates: 07/05/2016
Time: 9:15 am - 12:00 pm
Share your plants, seeds and bulbs with gardeners from all over town. Please do not bring invasive species, aggressive growers or super common varieties. Some examples would be loosestrife, common orange daylily, yard violets, tiny baby redbuds, & English ivy. These will not be accepted for trade. All plants need to be dug and potted a minimum of 2 weeks prior. Everyone must bring 1 full 10” x 20” tray of plants. That would be (10-12) 4 packs, (15-18) 4” pots, (10-12) 6” pots, or a corresponding number of assorted size pots. Any bare root, wilting plants will not be accepted for trade. Only bulbs, tubers, corms, or rooted cuttings (wrapped in wet paper and bagged) can be bare root. We will have herbs, veggies, annuals, perennials, berries, shrubs, trees, houseplants and other types of plants. If you bring 15 plants you can take15 plants. New gardeners are allowed to come and take a maximum 5 plants w/o bringing any to trade. We hope new gardeners will bring some next year! The exchange begins about 9:30 and goes til 12:00. Everyone needs to bring their own trays for transporting-please don’t take the existing trays. You have to check in 1st, sign up, have your plants checked, and then you need to distribute them into the proper categories, then you can go shopping. Everyone has to take care of the distribution of plants they bring. Volunteers can sign up to work the event thru our Facebook https://www.facebook.com/
