Please join Smith Students for Food Justice, SCOPES, and Divest in engaging with Dr. Vandana Shiva in dissecting corporate globalization, economics of greed, and the politics of hate and fear in 2017.
Dr. Shiva, author, activist, and pioneer, will be discussing Earth Democracy, a movement to reclaim local economies, community, and compassion. She will also be speaking on the importance of moving away from fossil fuel based agriculture while providing food security and fostering environmental sustainability.
In a global society dominated by xenophobia, ecological destruction and discontent, the widely revered wisdom of Dr. Shiva could not be more relevant.
Dr. Vandana Shiva will be speaking from 4-5:30 in Stoddard Hall, on Friday, February 17th.
