Seed School


At the Seed School we’ll be getting into detail about gardening techniques, seed saving and plant breeding for popular veggies and flowers. This year, the Seed School will run for six classes, from September 19 to October 24. Sessions will be Saturdays from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Most classes will be held at York University and one or two may bee downtown. All six classes, a textbook, and a field trip will be included in the enrollment fee of $125. Due to short notice, if you can’t make the first class, we’ll offer the remaining five for the discounted rate of $100. Local experts and elders will teach each class, the classes will cover:

-A Basic Introduction to Seed Saving
-Native Plants and Wildflowers
-Tomatoes
-Legumes and Cucurbitaceae
-Nightshades and Brassicas
-Cold Adapting Plants for the Canadian Climate
